My Tour: Southern Tier Journals | ||

In my quest to find all of the information I could about the Southern Tier I have found these links that have proven invaluable. They are the journals of those that have ridden the Southern Tier. Some succeeded while others did not. Some have great descriptions and pictures while others are minimal. Either way they are filled with the information you need to be prepared for the adventure of a lifetime. Enjoy. Feb 2004 - Apr 2004: - "Fools on a Mission" Ted and Colleen road all over the country including the Southern Tier. Great stories, awesome pictures, the best descriptions, route information, where to stay, and more. Dec 2004 - Feb 2004: Thomas Turnbull came all the way from Scotland to ride across the Southern Tier. In the beginning he didn’t think he would make it but he triumphed in the end, take a look. Dec 2003 - Jan 2004: Jesse McCormack Jason Signalness ride section 2 of the Southern Tier from Phoenix, Arizona to El Paso, Texas. Mar 2003 - May 2003: Dave and Will, Father and Son, ride the Southern Tier on a Tandem, you’ve got to see this one. Great pictures, stories, and sound files as well. Will was only 9 at the time. A great read. Mar 2001 - May 2001:John Scholefield came all the way from England to travel the Southern Tier. Filled lots of pictures and good information. Feb 2002: Mr. Ed rides the Southern Tier during the month of February 2002, that’s right only 20 days. Good descriptions, pictures, and equipment list. Sep
2001 - Dec 2001: Joan and Jeff take a ride on the Southern Tier. Good trip
descriptions. Feb
2005 - Mar 2005: "Crazy Hiker on a Bike" Eric West rides a portion of the Southern
Tier. He was truly a hiker at heart. Good descriptions and information. Sep
2003 - Oct 2003: " Where’s Roger?" Roger starts in San Diego and makes it to Texas dragging his bike. If you want to know does it matter what kind of equipment to get
then you need to read this journal. |
